VILLAGE INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS
announcement:
April
2005:
There
are two focal points for this site:
* Tourists considering visiting Puhoi and
* Information for Residents related to Puhoi
Services and Clubs.
Our team philosophy for
www.puhoi.com is that it becomes -- as much as possible
-- a community effort for individuals who live in Puhoi.
We have spent some time setting up a new 'structure' for it, to guide the
development.
The initial photos were taken on a cold winter's day... but in principle
help to show how it all works. We want to promote individual input
replacing these photos by better ones taken by others (with credits in every
case).
The ‘structure’ of business pages -- beyond the basic information on the
Services Page -- is to show photos of the business TODAY and the people in
them *-- as far as personal modesty allows. If you are involved in business in
the District, contact us for inclusion in the
Services
column.
*(See
Puhoi Kennels
for example).
Accommodation providers do not need to show exactly where they are --
we'll tell you why when we meet -- but in general each decision has to lie
with the person(s) involved.
Our philosophy is that 'small' businesses should be able to promote
themselves as easily as 'big' business. We will this year make our
advertising charges whatever each individual feels is reasonable for
themselves -- we will give an advertising receipt for tax at the rate of the
'donation'. This system we hope to maintain.
If your
club wants to advise
Residents of its activities with contact details contact us for inclusion in
the
club
folder. This is free, supported by
COFCAL Developments for a Better World Ltd,
VillagePRESS and
local businesses.
So
www.puhoi.com is for non-political, non-controversial
information of a factual nature.
For news, views, and matters related to the freedom of the press we
publish
www.VillagePress.co.nz.
All published items on any
of Village Independent Publishers sites will be acknowledged with the
author’s name (or nom-de-plume if preferred. – see Philosophy) and all
direct quotes are first referred to the person being quoted to be sure that
“what he said was what he meant.”.
